Loftia demo: dates, progress carry-over and character-name rules

The quick answer

The public Demo is scheduled for October 19, 2026 at 10:00 AM PDT (17:00 UTC), ending October 26 at the same time. Everyone can play; announced Demo progress and character names carry into Early Access.

Official pre-release information checked October 10, 2026. Announced plans may change; this is not a tested client walkthrough.

Public Demo dates and access

The October Demo is announced as open to everyone. It had not opened as of October 10, 2026. Use the official Steam page as the entry point when the Demo becomes available.

The earlier Beta ran April 22–May 6, 2026 and has ended. Old Beta-key giveaways are not the announced access route for this public Demo.

What the Demo covers

The Demo introduces the opening of Loftia City and ends before entering Hanging Gardens. Announced activities include meeting NPCs, recycling, farming, decorating, shared neighborhoods, Adventures, World Projects and minigames.

These are the developer’s announced contents, rather than a completed playthrough by this site. The Demo is not the whole Early Access world; compare the announced stages.

Progress and character names

The developer says collected and completed Demo progress will carry into Early Access. Character names also carry over. This promise specifically concerns Demo → Early Access; it does not establish an Alpha/Beta transfer policy or an Early Access → 1.0 wipe policy.

  • The Demo allows one character per account.
  • Early Access is planned to allow multiple characters.
  • If you do not play Early Access during November 3, 2026–February 3, 2027, your Demo character name can be released for someone else. The announced rule retains your progress.

The Name field on the website registration form is not proof that an in-game name has been reserved. The Demo client’s creation screens, duplicate-name handling and successful reservation steps have not been verified here.

Demo banner and earlier Beta rewards

The announced Demo banner conditions are to reach the Player Neighborhood for the first time, link your email, then claim and save the reward on the Loftia website. The developer’s roughly ten-minute estimate is an estimate, not a measured completion time from this site.

Earlier Beta rewards have a separate delivery arrangement. On October 9, the Community Team clarified that rewards already earned and present in a Loftia website account will not be granted in the Demo; players are to link their email in Early Access to obtain them. This does not say that a player who missed the Beta can earn its exclusive rewards again in the Demo.

The account-linking and successful reward-claim sequence has not been tested here. No referral thresholds or complete reward table are established by this page.
